    Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View is seeking a Full ** - time PreOp PACU Registered Nurse**. We are a busy multispecialty surgery center serving Northern Suffolk and an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI’s mission is to care for each patient and their family as if they were our own. Each patient, each family, each and every time.

    The Registered Nurse is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Registered Nurse works with Senior Management in meeting facility safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Graduate of a professional school of Nursing – BSN preferred
    • Licensure: Current license as a VA Registered Nurse
    • Certifications: BLS required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days
    • Experience: 2 years’ ambulatory experience preferred
    • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
    • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

    • Independent decision making skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Advocate of patient safety and quality of care
    • Provide leadership and support in developing and maintaining effective relationships with the center staff and the medical staff
    • Maintain standards of nursing care within the Center in compliance with professional nursing standards and recommended perioperative procedures

  • Qualifications
    • Diploma, Associate’s or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing with six months experience in area of specialty/desired practice.
    • Current unrestricted licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) to which assigned and current CPR certification required.  
    • Successful completion of any/all Company required pre-employment competency testing and health clearance prior to assignment and periodically as required by Company policy and state regulations.  
    • Good organizational and communication skills and the ability to function with minimal supervision also required.
