    RED VELVET is a boutique full-service experiential activations and events agency calling Austin, Texas, home since 2002. We partner with brands and companies to concept, design, and produce international award-winning experiences of all shapes and sizes, ranging from immersive activations and luxury moments to conferences that feel anything but traditional.

Every detail, every decision, every moment should honor the client’s brand, and we’re seeking a senior-level production leader who shares that mindset and thrives in complex, high-touch environments.

    We are looking for a full-time Austin-based Senior Event Production Lead with 10+ years of experience producing a variety of conferences and large-scale events with many moving parts. This role owns complex projects end-to-end, overseeing production schedules, logistics, budgets, and on-site execution, while representing client brands with care and intention. Experience with brand activations is a plus, but not required.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Lead end-to-end production for events of varying scale, from planning through execution and post-event closeout

    Collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams (accounts, creative, production, operations) and external partners. Provide guidance and support to production staff.

    Participate in creative development and align deliverables with strategy and client objectives, ensuring they translate into executable production plans

    Own day-to-day project operations, including budgets, detailed timelines and workback schedules, vendor payments, run-of-shows, project playbook, and staffing plans

    Manage vendors and contractors, including sourcing, negotiations, logistics, and deliverables

    Lead client communications and status meetings to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders

    Proactively identify project risks throughout the project lifecycle, develop solutions, and oversee contingency planning

    Oversee on-site execution, including contractors, brand ambassadors, and real-time problem-solving

    Lead post-event reconciliation and collaborate with accounts for invoicing and retrospectives

    Hybrid & Travel-Ready – Austin-based role with a mix of in-office collaboration on key days and flexibility on others; up to 25% travel, dependent on Client project locations

    Tech & Tools Savvy - Proficient with Google Workspace (specifically Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Meet, and Slides). Familiarity with monday.com, Slack, Harvest, CVENT Event Diagramming, and SketchUp is a plus.
