Job Summary
We are seeking a Pool Maintenance Technician to join our team! As a Pool Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the integrity of various customers’ pools, including cleaning tile, pool floors, pump baskets, filters, and more. You will also be checking the water, pH and chemical levels and making adjustments as needed, documenting any pool issues, and communicating all issues and changes to both management and customers. The ideal candidate has strong communication and customer service skills, a willingness to learn, and is comfortable working outside all year. We’re looking for someone who shows up on time, takes pride in their work, and treats every customer with professionalism and care. Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential, because that’s what our team is built on.
Key Responsibilities
Vacuum pool floors, steps, walls, tiles, pump baskets, and more
Test pool water and balance the water chemistry based on those results
Troubleshoot minor problems to keep the pool system running
Document pool issues and repair needs, and communicate the status of the equipment to both management and customers utilizing a CRM database tool.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, vacuuming, testing, and skimming pools, fountains and splash pads.
Calibrate and set automatic controllers.
Inspects pool equipment, motors and pumps for proper operation daily.
Handles all pool chemicals safely.
Maintain appropriate supply levels of chemicals and cleaning items.
This position requires physical inspection of pool equipment, pool and the valves and drains to ensure they are free of debris and functioning properly.
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills
Experience working with pools desired
Ability to work outside, sometimes in the sun, wind, or rain
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills and attention to detail.
Maintain necessary safety equipment daily.
Ability to work with chemicals or similar solutions using protective equipment.
Must be able to perceive a full range of color spectrum such as when working with water testing color comparators.
Communicate effectively and concisely both orally and in writing.
Must be able to operate a computer and application software.
You must be willing to work in hot sun, cold and in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements.
You must be able to work unsupervised.
CPO certification or ability to obtain it.
Ability to lift 100+ pounds with ease
