Job Description

We have an immediate need for an ESCROW ASSISTANT with CURRENT EXPERIENCE.

This position will assist with opening escrows, processing escrow packages, obtaining funding conditions and assist with closing escrow as well. Must be computer savvy and have previous experience working with an Escrow system (knowledge of Qualia is a plus). This is an entry level position and we are looking for a candidate that will grow with our company.

ESCROW ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assist Escrow department with customer service and administrative duties related to escrow openings and closings.
• Manage complex and an advanced variety of administrative functions within functional area. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Adobe.
• Provide efficient customer service by speaking with borrowers regarding refinances and sellers and buyers regarding purchases.
• Process opening orders, initiate file set up, allocate funds and write transmittal for funds and documents for escrow process.
• Research and examine chain of title for any liens and judgments.
• Convey requirements and other information to clients including Title exceptions.
• Interpret purchase contract agreements and prepare all documents required for escrow transactions.
• Obtain payoffs, evidence of insurance, and other items necessary for closing.
• Manage reconveyances, maintain pre-closing and perform post-closing follow up on assigned files.
• Prepare loan documents for signing by performing quality control, vesting check and legal on mortgage to validate against commitment.
• Process signed loan documents for funding and return to the lender and process and send documents to title following established guidelines.
• Prepare documents for closing and manage complete disbursement and follow up of all escrow transactions.
