Job Summary
Full time - immediate opening for probate/estate planning legal assistant. In this role you will provide assistance to lawyers, communicate with clients, set appointments and draft legal documents, etc. You must be detail oriented and able to manage many files, maintain a time line throughout the probate process/ excellent secretarial skills.
Responsibilities
Communicate with clients
Greet clients/answer phones
prior experience in probate administration - maintain files through the probate process
Prepare specific documents - Last Will and Testaments, Durable Power of Attorney, Living Wills, Designation of Health Care Surrogate
Ensure that client files are well organized and follow through on tasks
Maintain and update documentation
Provide general administrative support
Qualifications
2 Years previous experience in Estate Planning or probate
Familiarity with legal procedures and terminology
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with document management experience
Comfortable Microsoft Office - Word and Excel- and case management software- Knowledge of Prevail a Plus
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
