This position reports to our CFO and is responsible for building a robust data environment in order to establish, maintain and document high data quality standards within our core data pipelines, datasets and databases, to include establishing best practices, data warehousing and data governance. This requires working closely with business stakeholders and production teams to understand requirements and ensure report and dashboard support while managing analytics hardware and software. The DBI works closely with the CFO to maintain established practices and procedures that ensure the integrity and quality of project deliverables in accordance with approved life cycle methodology.
As the Director of Business Intelligence, you will design, develop, test and implement efficient, cost effective application development solutions, while managing detailed projects, allocating IT resources, oversee KPI reporting, performance forecasting, behavioral analysis and predictive modeling. The DBI will deliver solutions to complex data problems, have an affinity for data and analytics in support of driving business decisions, provide technical guidance on all reporting and ETL integration points to ensure scalability and maintainability.
The DBI will work cross-functionally to establish and manage appropriate team structure for successful BI delivery across the organization, manage cross program dependencies and drive cross-functional implementation of policies and procedures. The Director of Business Intelligence will facilitate change management and business communication activities throughout BI delivery lifecycle, foresee, manage and raise appropriate visibility to risks and issues, and drive resolution of any conflicts through appropriate escalation as needed. The DBI provides leadership and develops strong business intelligence to implement and maintain high quality systems and solutions for FYZICAL and the franchisees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Develops new reporting and analytics in compliance with approved database and software standards• Leads technical design to ensure compliance with the IT strategic direction• Works closely with business intelligence vendors to keep tools current and maintains a listing of software versions, licenses, contacts, and server software and hardware recommendations• Ensures project tasks and deliverables meet requirements and are completed on schedule• Analyzes reporting and database performance, availability, and accuracy for each supported functionality• Maintains a current production support priority list, based on client and IT Management input and facilitates timely resolution of issues• Provides effective leadership to accurately resolve production problems in a timely manner• Provides input in identifying technological strategies related to the business intelligence area to determine their maturity and applicability• Maintain project documentation, including Functional, Technical, Test, Project and Implementation plans• Provides timely communication to internal clients that is clear, concise and appropriate for target audience• Ensures weekly reporting on projects and production support issues are completed on time and clearly communicate project status against agreed upon goals• Expert knowledge of Project Management Methodology and Database Development Life Cycle practices• Expert knowledge of business processes and the application of technology to achieve business objectives• Proven management experience successfully leading business intelligence projects• Experienced developing RFP’s, evaluating software selection and making recommendations• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining deadlines and managing resources• Excellent analytical, negotiation, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills• Strong people skills including developing teams• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in both technical and non-technical terms• Ability to interface with all levels of management creating productive partnerships through project collaboration• Adept at managing projects on schedule and on budget FYZICAL offers a comprehensive benefits package: 100% employer paid (single rate) Health, Dental and Vision Plans with additional contributions above the single rate for other plan elections. • BS/MS in Information Technology or equivalent• 5 years of experience managing complex enterprise applications and supporting packaged software solutions• 3 years of development experience on the .NET platform (C#, ASP.NET, WinForms, WPF, WCF, WF)• 3 years of SQL Server experience• Experienced with Microsoft development tools (SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio)• Experienced in developing and maintaining Data Models• Experienced using web services and building SSIS packages• Strong understanding of Object-Relational Mapping tools and concepts• Strong understanding of Source Code Control, experienced using Visual Source Safe, TFS, Subversion• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Access) FYZICAL, the fastest growing physical therapy company in America, is setting a new benchmark for the highest level of care.
