THE OPPORTUNITY
The Quality Manager for Dual Plant Operations is responsible for leading and harmonizing quality assurance and control functions across two manufacturing facilities. This role ensures consistent implementation of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quality System Leadership
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust Quality Management Systems (QMS) across both sites
- Ensure alignment with SQF and other relevant industry standards
- Compliance & Auditing
- Conduct internal and external audits across both plants
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and corporate requirements
- Team Management
- Supervise and mentor quality assurance teams at both locations
- Coordinate cross-site training and development programs
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior leadership
- Continuous Improvement
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies across both plants
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices between sites
- Budget & Resource Management
- Manage quality department budgets and resource allocation across both facilities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field
- MUST HAVE PCQI Certification
- MUST HAVE: SQF Practitioner
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance
- Proven leadership in a food manufacturing facility
- Strong knowledge of SQF, SPC, root cause analysis, and CAPA
