 The Role: Front End Engineer (Technical)

 As a Front End Software Engineer at Yahoo Sports, you will specialize in building high performance, scalable, cross-browser compatible, accessible and elegant web applications with JavaScrpit, Angular and other technologies. You will work hand in hand with world-class teams of other software engineers and architects as well as backend engineers, cloud data experts and computer scientists to build amazing and emotional experiences that will delight our users.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and modify front-end web interfaces for our products based on requirements
• Create and modify internal company web tools based on team requirements
• Integrate web applications with native applications
• Keep up-to-date on developer tools and industry trends to optimize performance and efficiency

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• 3+ years of professional web development
• Bachelor degree in STEM field
• Expert working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and web browser standards and practices.
• Understanding of UI software design patterns (MVC/MVVP)
• Hands-on experience with Javascript frameworks like Angular or equivalent.
• Experience in server-side development (Python)
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Advanced experience in Angular
• Hands-on experience with Django
• Experience in developing Multimedia web applications (animations, video)
• Experience working with Mercurial, Docker, and Linux in general
