    Summary: Facilitates the efficiency with which Extruder Operators are able to perform set ups and changeovers by performing the following duties:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:

    Note: Other Duties May be Assigned

    Primary

    • Utilize IQMS Line Schedule and Real Time Modules to Issue Tooling to Production
    • Including Heads, Dies, Calibrators, Bolts, Downstream Guides, Saw/Blade Fixtures, and Any Other Tooling Applicable to the Work Order
    • Maintain Accurate Electronic Inventory Records and Transactions for Issued Tooling
    • Thoroughly Clean All Tooling Once Production of Work Order is Complete; Including Light Repair of Tooling, Such as Retapping Threaded Holes, Cleaning Die Surfaces, Ensuring Airlines are Operating Correctly, Inspecting, Testing, and Cleaning Die
    • Heaters, Cords, and Thermocouples as Necessary
    • Manage Inventory of Gate Adapter Gaskets, Heater Bands, Thermocouples, Yoke Nuts, Airline Tubes, Crossover Tubes, Bolts, Pipe Fittings, Saw Blades, and Other
    • High-Value Materials and Components
    • Maintain organization and Cleanliness of Tool and Die Room

    Secondary

    • Assist in Preparation of Materials for Construction of Tooling
    • Assist in Producing Die Blanks, Jog Blocks, Yoke Nuts, Airlines, and Other Required Tooling as Directed by Management
    •  Color Code Heater Cords and Other Line-Specific Tooling as Necessary
    • Maintain Operation of CNC Mill and EDM Wire Machines During Off Shifts
    • Maintain Organization and Cleanliness of Machine Shop and Maintenance Shop

    Qualification requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duty satisfactorily.     • Education and/or experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other FEC employees.
    • Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
    • Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
