Title: Fabricator
Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Salary: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour based on experience
Who we are:
Our client is a premier industrial equipment manufacturer in the Greater Cleveland area with over 60 years of experience in custom engineering. They specialize in designing and building turn-key parts washing systems and automation for global industries, including automotive and fastener manufacturing. They are currently expanding their fabrication team to meet the demands of several high-profile custom projects.
Fabricator Role:
The Fabricator is responsible for the manual construction and assembly of specialized industrial machinery components. This role exists to transform raw steel materials into precise, one-off custom assemblies that meet rigorous engineering standards.
Fabricator Responsibilities:
- Fabricate custom components using steel, stainless steel, and carbon steel materials
- Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on various metal thicknesses
- Execute complex one-off jobs based on unique engineering specifications and blueprints
- Operate standard shop equipment including saws, grinders, and various hand tools
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accuracy of finished assemblies
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure shop safety
- Participate in cross-training opportunities to support different stages of the manufacturing process
- Inspect finished welds and fabricated parts for quality and dimensional accuracy
Fabricator Reporting Relationships:
The Fabricator reports directly to the Shop Manager and works alongside a team of experienced machinists and assemblers.
About You:
- Possess significant experience in MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Demonstrate proficiency in fabricating with both stainless steel and carbon steel
- Exhibit a strong ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Show a passion for custom, non-repetitive work and problem-solving
- Maintain a desire to learn new skills and cross-train in different areas of production
- Bring a reliable work ethic and a detail-oriented mindset to every project
- Provide own basic fabrication hand tools as required for the role
