Job Description
SUMMARY:
Assist customers/sales representatives with decorative hardware orders and questions via phone and email
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer incoming calls, solve problems, process orders, and provide exceptional service for hardware customers
Provides delivery information on customer orders as well as stock and pricing.
Give pricing information when account number provided.
Process color chip requests.
Process replacement orders and claims for customer returns and/or pricing discrepancies.
Monitor and answer emails daily and in a timely manner.
Process customer cancellation requests.
Establish new accounts using specific guidelines.
Checks and answers voice mail in a timely manner.
Develop strong understanding of decorative hardware lines in order to effectively and correctly assist sales representatives, customers and internal staff with technical questions
Interact with department personnel as required.
Update computer on all actions on orders.
Enter customer claims and updates on the computer.
Interface with vendors to ensure delivery dates are met.
Interface with other departments to provide quality service.
Display good safety and housekeeping practices.
Uses material and equipment effectively.
*Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school education or equivalent.
1 year customer service experience in a high call volume setting required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates good customer service skills.
Computer and 10-key skills required.
Basic math skills and problem resolution skills.
Outlook, Word, and Excel a plus.
Self motivated.
Well organized and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with others.
Able to handle stress in a high volume office.
Typing skills of 45 WPM.
Plans and organizes work for maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
Communicate with courtesy and professionalism.
