    JOB SUMMARY

    The Facilities Assistant supports venue operations, maintenance, and event readiness across all assigned properties. The role ensures that interior and exterior spaces remain clean, structurally sound, and fully prepared for upcoming events. This position is hands on, highly mobile, and essential to maintaining the physical environment, inventory condition, and asset integrity. Success requires strong reliability, situational awareness, and consistent execution in partnership with the Facilities Manager, Operations team, and Venue staff.

    The Facilities and operational employees are expected to support Julep Venue, Vesper Venue, and Bramble Bay Venue to ensure consistent readiness, brand standards, and seamless execution across the full event portfolio.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Event Venue Operations

    • Conduct post event inspections and escalate issues involving damage, mess, unsafe conditions, equipment, or furnishings
    • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks across floors, windows, restrooms, building exteriors, furnishings, and outdoor grounds
    • Support venue staging, spatial resets, and assigned setup tasks
    • Complete load-outs, resets, and turnover work to maintain event readiness

    Event Furniture and Asset Care

    • Set up and break down event furnishings according to approved floor plans
    • Maintain furniture to ensure it remains clean, fully assembled, and structurally secure
    • Tighten or replace hardware, complete basic touch ups, and report advanced repair needs

    Inventory and Asset Control

    • Maintain accurate inventory of tools, supplies, consumables, and furnishings
    • Conduct routine usage tracking for proactive restocking
    • Document breakage, loss, or discrepancies

    Fleet and Equipment Oversight

    • Operate company vans to transport furnishings, tools, and supplies between venues
    • Maintain van cleanliness, readiness, and operational condition
    • Coordinate basic maintenance and scheduled service within company systems
    • Support movement of rental vehicles for larger events

    Safety and Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to safety rules, cleanliness standards, and PPE expectations
    • Comply with OSHA, sanitation, and health standards
    • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues promptly

    Operational Support

    • Assist with vendor access for routine facility repairs or scheduled maintenance
    • Participate in operations meetings and offer workflow improvement insights
    • Support implementation of new systems or tools for the Facilities function

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • High reliability and attendance consistency
    • Strong work ethic and tolerance for physical labor
    • Ability to follow instructions and execute without micromanagement
    • Practical problem solving and situational awareness
    • Clear verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Valid driver license and ability to pass DMV review if required

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
    • Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and standing
    • Ability to work extended shifts on feet
    • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
    • Ability to operate basic equipment, hand tools, and vehicles as assigned

    COMPENSATION

    • Hourly rate $18 to $22, commensurate with experience
