Position Summary

A community-focused grocery store in Talbot County is seeking a dependable Part-Time Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize store floors, restrooms, and other common areas

Empty trash and recycling bins regularly

Dust and wipe down shelves, counters, and other surfaces

Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained

Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management

Assist with occasional setup or breakdown of store displays as needed

Qualifications

Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred but not required

Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical cleaning tasks

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, walk, and reach for extended periods
