Overview

Maintenance Specialist to perform technical work, plan and participate in a variety of facilities and grounds maintenance and repair assignments; does related work as required. Work is performed under supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•  Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, heating and ventilation systems maintenance, moving of supplies, furniture, cleaning of grounds and other maintenance facility duties as needed.
•  Receives and responds to maintenance and repair requests via Agency maintenance ticket system.
•  Works with Agency staff and program supervisors.
•  Operates and maintains Agency maintenance vehicle for work activities according to Agency policy.
•  As essential personnel, may be required to work outside normal work hours in call-back, on-call, or emergency situations. Performs related tasks as required and all other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia. May require licensure and/or certification relevant to area of assignment.
