    SUMMARY

    The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance, general maintenance, and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities. The Facilities Maintenance Technician ensures that tasks are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, repairing and adjusting commercial doors, recliner seat repairs, light plumbing, hardware replacement, and other building fixture repairs.

    Performs routine maintenance on building systems.

    Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.

    Performs outdoor maintenance. Examples include light landscaping, tree trimming, and rock bed maintenance.

    Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.

    Maintains a clean and tidy workspace.

    Performs other related duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Maintenance experience required. HVAC, basic carpentry, and commercial fixture maintenance experience preferred. Must have the ability to work unsupervised.

    Tools and Equipment: Demonstrates a natural proficiency with a wide range of tools, equipment, and repair techniques.

    Problem Solving: Quickly assesses maintenance issues, identifies root causes, and implements effective solutions with minimal guidance.

    Completes projects in a timely and efficient manner.

    Takes initiative to bring forth new projects when repairs are needed

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Work hours may include days, nights, and weekends and could be 45 plus hours a week.

    TRAVEL

    This position requires traveling to all MN Emagine locations. A personal vehicle for transportation is required. Reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided.
