  • Responsibilities

    We’re hiring a Maintenance Technician to handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and apartment turnovers in a residential community. Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, HVAC support, appliance repair, and maintaining common areas. Ideal candidates have strong troubleshooting skills, a professional attitude, and a commitment to providing quality service to residents. Responsibilities: • Perform routine and emergency maintenance across residential units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC support, appliance repair, carpentry, and general building systems. • Participate in an on-call rotation to address after-hours service requests and emergency maintenance issues. • Complete apartment make-readies (unit turns), including painting, cleaning, fixture replacement, and preparing homes for move-in. • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. • Maintain the appearance and functionality of interior and exterior community areas, including hallways, stairwells, parking lots, sidewalks, grounds, and waste enclosures. • Perform seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow and ice removal, landscaping support, trash pick-up, and general groundskeeping. • Use property management and maintenance software (e.g., RealPage/OneSite) and mobile devices to manage work orders, document repairs, and track completed tasks. • Proactively identify maintenance issues, communicate findings to management, and recommend solutions to prevent future problems. Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in apartment maintenance, property maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred. • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building systems. • Ability to complete unit turns, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs efficiently. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong customer service skills and a professional, resident-focused demeanor. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and working in various weather conditions. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred. Compensation: $23 - $25 hourly
