Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician (Entry Level) reports directly to the Facilities and Project Engineer and assists in maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and efficient facility. This role supports routine building maintenance, basic repairs, painting, cleaning, and general facility organization. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and eager to learn facility maintenance skills in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including painting, patching walls, basic carpentry, and light repairs
Assist with routine cleaning and organization of production, storage, and common areas
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces, tool rooms, and maintenance areas
Assist with preventive maintenance tasks under the direction of the Facilities and Project Engineer
Support basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks as trained
Move, set up, and organize equipment, furniture, and materials as needed
Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance issues or safety concerns
Assist with waste removal, recycling, and material handling
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Support facility improvement projects and special assignments as directed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing, and climbing ladders
Willingness to learn facility maintenance skills and follow instructions
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Basic organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
Previous experience in custodial, maintenance, construction, or facilities support roles
Basic painting, drywall patching, or general repair experience
Familiarity with a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Awareness of workplace safety practices and PPE use
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment
