    ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

    United Way of Weld County builds powerful partnerships to bring about lasting community-wide change. With the support of United Way donors, volunteers and partners, together we are building a better Weld County, one where every household has the opportunity to succeed.

    OVERVIEW

    The Housing Navigation Center (HNC) is a resource center that provides services to people experiencing homelessness, helps people regain housing, and helps households in Weld County navigate local housing resources. As part of Weld’s Way Home, Weld County’s initiative to address and prevent homelessness, the HNC provides access to housing services ranging from homelessness prevention to shelter. The Facilities Manager position is 20-25 hours per week, depending on need; focused on completing on-site cleaning and light maintenance to ensure a clean and safe facility.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Maintain and clean the entire facility, including but not limited to cleaning floors, bathrooms/showers, bunk room, emptying trash and disinfecting

    Maintain common area, grounds and parking lot. Includes but is not limited to removing snow, weeding, fixing fences, and other areas as assigned

    Perform light maintenance tasks and repairs as needed, including:

    Plumbing: stoppages, replacing or repairing faucets/drains and shower heads, addressing piping concerns, snaking, other items as they occur

    Electric: replacing switches, bulbs, outlets, wiring

    Miscellaneous: lock repairs/installation, dry wall patches, painting, etc.

    Appropriately assess items in need of repair and contact vendor to resolve, if needed

    Coordinate with Assistant Directors and Director to determine tasks required for maintenance, upkeep and functionality of the facility

    Collaborate with staff to determine and implement large-scale, quarterly volunteer events that promote improvement of the facility

    United Way of Weld County General

    Support and promote the mission, values, goals and objectives of United Way, including representing United Way in professional organizations and the community (as assigned).

    Support fundraising efforts of United Way and activities that support United Way.

    Support United Way annual events, disaster response, and other activities as assigned.

    Participate in staff meetings and in service opportunities.

    Contribute to organizational promotions including writing promotional copy, proofreading informational and campaign materials, participation in outreach, etc.

    Other duties as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS

    Working knowledge of materials, methods and tools required for the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of building

    Ability to safely use hand and power tools for installation, maintenance and/or repair of items throughout the HNC

    Ability to correctly assess and perform minor repairs

    Knowledge of and relationship with local vendors for various maintenance requests helpful

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    High School diploma or GED

    POSITION INFORMATION

    Part-time, (average of 20-25 hours weekly; shifts are flexible), non-exempt

    Salary Range: (H6): $21.04-$24.17 per hour

    Supervisory duties: none

    Reports to: Director of the HNC

    Location: Greeley, CO
