Job Summary:

The Facilities & Maintenance Support role helps keep our facility clean, safe, and running smoothly. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, variety in daily tasks, and being part of a supportive team. The role focuses on basic cleaning, simple repairs, and assisting with facility upkeep to meet Homefree’s SQF and food safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Help keep production and common areas clean and organized

· Sweep, mop, wipe down surfaces, and empty trash as needed

· Assist with basic facility repairs such as tightening handles, changing light bulbs, or replacing tiles

· Support equipment and facility cleaning following SQF and GMP procedures

· Operate the ware washer, washing machine, and dryer as trained

· Restock supplies and cleaning materials

· Report any maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor promptly

· Assist the Maintenance Technician or Production team with small tasks or projects

· Follow all food safety, quality, and safety policies

· Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks

Qualifications:

· Reliable and able to work independently once trained

· Comfortable using basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, etc.)

· Able to follow directions and communicate clearly

· Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on feet for most of the shift

· Willingness to learn SQF and GMP cleaning procedures

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, typically 2:00 PM–8:00 PM (flexible depending on workload) Occasional extended hours for special projects
