Our client owns and manages a portfolio of well-maintained office and industrial properties and is looking for a Facilities Technician to support their Seattle-area buildings. You’ll handle daily maintenance needs, including light HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs. The role includes coordinating with vendors, responding to service requests, and working closely with tenants.
They’re looking for someone with a solid maintenance background, strong problem-solving skills, and clear communication. This role offers a competitive salary, 100% paid medical benefits, and includes a company vehicle and cell phone.
Facilities Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform and troubleshoot a variety of maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and custodial work.
- Respond to emergencies and resolve issues efficiently using strong building systems knowledge.
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs, ensuring work aligns with company standards.
- Manage work orders via Yardi Facilities Manager, documenting all tasks, labor, and expenses.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other critical systems.
- Support capital and tenant improvement projects with onsite coordination.
- Maintain professional relationships with vendors and tenants, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
Facilities Technician Qualifications:
- Basic to intermediate skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
- Experience with material handling and lift operations
- Ability to operate vehicles and tow trailers
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication with vendors and tenants
- Relevant facilities/maintenance certifications
- All candidates must possess a clean driving record and pass a background check and drug test.
