Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Technician to support maintenance operations within a clean, air-conditioned distribution center in Plainfield, IN. This role is responsible for troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining overall facility functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems
• Troubleshoot conveyors, stretch wrappers, and carton erectors
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
• Perform general facility repairs (patching, painting, hardware, etc.)
• Assist with facility cleanliness and grounds upkeep
• Support additional maintenance and facility-related tasks as needed

Qualifications

• 1+ year of facilities or industrial maintenance experience (distribution center preferred)
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Understanding of workplace safety procedures

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong attendance and work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable working at heights up to 45 feet
• Ability to work in cold environments when required
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Basic computer, math, and reading skills
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
