Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Facility Maintenance Technician . The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and maintaining a large facility, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all areas of the Detroit Training Center, including classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and kitchen, Workshop Area - including frequent vacuuming
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and replacing damaged tiles
- Replace Air filters / maintain Vacuums and Filters.
- Respond to maintenance requests from staff and students
- Order and stock supplies
- Keep records of all maintenance activities
- Assist with Moving Projects throughout the facility
- Communicate effectively with both management and coworkers on needs as they arise.
- Removing all trash daily
- Any and all projects as directed by management.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as a janitor or facility maintenance person
- Strong cleaning and maintenance skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects
- Must be able to work on ladders
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
