Oakland Dream Center Facility Monitor

Summary

The Oakland Dream Center is a transitional housing program for returning citizens. Our priority to ensure an aspirational respectful environment that allows men to thrive in their responsibility, reintegration and restorative justice. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Personally monitor visually and electronically the interior of the facility, its residents, and grounds by working a variety of assignments including but not limited to roving inside the facility (this involves walking rounds periodically)

Ensures own actions and those of others observe maximum level of safety and compliance.

Will verbally de-escalate situations to ensure the safety of fellow employees and clients.

Reports and records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, etc.in accordance with company policies and procedures

Warns violators of rule infractions

Ensures client compliance with centers policies and procedures

Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not met.

Other duties that are pertinent to the position or operations success also may be assigned.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

At least two (2) years of security, law enforcement or military experience is preferred.

Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.

Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.

Must be able to speak, understand, read and write English.

Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.

Must constantly be able to stand, sit, walk, climb, push, pull use hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch.

Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs.
