    Share with friends or Subscribe! -Summer Intern -Department: -Program Delivery & Content Development -Location: -Brookline, MA -Summer Internship - 2018 Facing History and Ourselves is an international education organization whose mission is to engage students of diverse backgrounds in an examination of racism, prejudice, and antisemitism in order to promote the development of a more humane and informed citizenry. By studying the historical development and lessons of the Holocaust and other examples of genocide, students make the essential connection between history and the moral choices they confront in their own lives. We are currently accepting applications for 1 non-paid summer internship in the Brookline, MA office. The internship will run for 8-10 weeks starting in early June through mid August 2018. Internships at Facing History and Ourselves are usually a mixture of core projects and administrative support. Past projects have included: -Lesson Plan Development - Creating a lesson for teachers to use with high school students to help students explore various political, religious and community reactions to event memorialization -Research and creation of reading lists in support of organizational programs -Supporting the Social Media team with Facing History's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube channels We expect the intern to follow a consistent schedule, come in 2-5 days per week, work diligently, and ask questions and request new projects when appropriate. Interns are also able to explore and utilize our Resource Library, listen to guest speakers and to attend parts of summer workshops, space and time permitting.
