    Position Overview

    We are seeking a Factory Floor Manager to oversee daily production activities within our FDA-registered manufacturing facility. This individual will ensure that all equipment, lines, and personnel are properly prepared for each day’s production schedule. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with filling and packaging machinery (bottles, jars, tubes, label machines, etc.), strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA compliance standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee daily operations on the production floor to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant manufacturing.

    Coordinate setup, changeover, and startup of filling and packaging lines (bottles, tubes, jars, label machines, etc.).

    Verify that all machines and production areas are clean, calibrated, and ready before each shift begins.

    Ensure all operators and line employees are following SOPs, batch records, and safety procedures.

    Supervise and train production staff on proper machine operation, sanitation, and documentation practices.

    Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance or repair as needed.

    Monitor productivity, material usage, and quality standards throughout production runs.

    Communicate with Quality Control and Maintenance teams to resolve issues promptly and minimize downtime.

    Complete and review production documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

    Support a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork across the factory floor.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or engineering degree preferred.

    1-3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management, ideally in an FDA-regulated facility (cosmetics, dietary supplements, OTC drugs, or food).

    Proven ability to set up and operate filling, sealing, or labeling equipment prefered.

    Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and FDA documentation requirements.

    Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    Ability to train, motivate, and supervise a diverse production team.

    Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting ability.

    Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

    Preferred Experience

    Experience with batch manufacturing and packaging lines.

    Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and lean manufacturing practices.

    Understanding or ability to learn 21 CFR 111 / 210 / 211 compliance requirements.

    Experience with ERP or production tracking systems a plus.

    Experience with Microsoft Office a plus.
