  • Responsibilities

    The Digital Multimedia Specialist supports agency efforts to produce high-quality digital and video products for nonprofit, philanthropic, and government clients. You will help “connect the dots” internally and externally by communicating with team members and clients to support the production of excellent end products in a fast-moving, rapidly changing environment.

    You will work closely with the director of design, associate director of digital strategy and design, director of design, videographer, motion designer, and creative project managers across several teams to provide project management support for website development and video production.

    Essential Job Duties

    Learning (15%)

    • Participate in professional development and learning activities to continuously improve leadership, management, project management, and writing skills
    • Read and reflect on agency readings; connect readings to short- and long-term goals for team and agency
    • Participate in agency team meetings, professional development check-ins, and other internal meetings, as needed
    • Maintaining high-level of organization for print and digital files and materials

    Website Maintenance and Project Management Support (45%)

    • Meet and liaise with team members and clients during web design and development projects and campaigns to assess needs and advise on strategy and direction
    • Work with team members to develop plans for website development that meet the client goals, objectives, and budget parameters
    • Understand the needs of the client and work with the creative team to develop ideas for copy and design
    • Conduct regular research on clients, client fields and industries, and related matters to support the development of approaches to website design and development
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual analytics reports
    • Lead quality control for website development, including proofing copy, testing cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across devices, evaluating the functionality of forms and other functions, and assessing website design against creative briefs and approved mock-ups
    • Use WordPress CMS to make regular updates to client websites and ensure website core files and plugins are secure and up-to-date

    Video Production and Project Management Support (40%)

    • Assist with the design, development, production, recording, and editing of video projects from concept to completion, including the identification of stock videography and audio for video projects

    • Assist with storyboard development, drafting interview questions, location scouting, and talent identification

    • Assist with post-production efforts, including linear video editing, color correction, and sound design in Adobe Premiere

    • Assist with creative concept development for motion graphic designs, including intros, outros, lower thirds, and infographics, as needed

    • Work with project management team and videographers to create production budgets and schedules, as needed

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in mass communications, film, graphic design, English, marketing, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Technical knowledge and understanding of video production and website development

    • Experience using Adobe Premiere and After Effects

    • Experience designing or editing websites built on WordPress

    • Project management and organization skills

    • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

    • Ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines

    • Intrinsically motivated self-starter, team player, critical thinker, and effective communicator

    • A healthy dose of curiosity

    Compensation commensurate with experience.
