    Job Description

    ABOUT THE JOB 

    • The Escrow Officer will be responsible for ensuring the property titles are clear, outstanding debts have been paid, all financial obligations have been met, and that the real estate agreements are authentic. You will also handle the deposition of funds and the processing of legal paperwork to finalize the transaction. You need knowledge in real-estate which include lending practices, and title insurance requirements. A great understanding of regulations in the state of California/ Department of Business oversight and Bureau of Real Estate, is required. This knowledge will minimize loss, and or liability to Broker and/or Owner. An Escrow Officer, should demonstrate exceptional decision-making skills, advanced clerical knowledge, and good communication skills. The ability to also quickly find flaws in real estate agreements and completes the legal requirements for the sale of a property in a timely manner.
    • RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Cover and manage all aspects of desk

    • Type escrows, refund checks, set up files for recording and balance (detailing checks) closings

    • Prepare estimated closing statements for buyer and seller; complete calculations by prorating taxes and interest

    • Package new escrows and receipt deposits

    • Order demands, HOA statements, insurance, other documents and opens title orders

    • Close escrow accounts by balancing and disbursing funds

    • Type various amendments, including complicated amendments

    • Determine escrow requirements by studying and clarifying buyer, seller and lender instructions

    • General processing (i.e. SI's and docs to title), title policies and loan document sign ups

    • Execute all types of escrows inclusive of resale, refinance, REO, foreclosures and short sale transactions

    • Assist in development and marketing of new business

    • Performs other duties as requested, including assistance to team members when the need arises

    • Accountable for client satisfaction, quality of work, and maintaining and promoting company values

    • Compensation is based on performance against company goals and client success and not commission-based

    SKILLS

    • Highly knowledgeable regarding standard closing concepts, practices, and procedures of the real estate settlement industry

    • Complete knowledge and ability to handle residential purchase transactions from receipt of contract and earnest money through funding and disbursement

    • Ability to professionally manage challenging customers, to diffuse conflict situations and resolve closing issues quickly

    • Demonstrates ability to calculate discounts, prorations, and commission splits accurately

    • Exemplary organizational skills

    • Ability to manage high volume transactions in a paperless environment

    REQUIREMENTS 

    Minimum of 2 years of full time Escrow Officer experience required.

    Must pass background check.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
