The main responsibility of the Parking Seller is to welcome guests and receive payment for parking.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome guests with a friendly, positive attitude
- Enter correct transaction types into POS systems
- Accurately charge guests for parking, collect money, give accurate change, and balance at the end of the day
- Provide information to guests in a friendly and informative manner
- Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to, use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations
- Other duties as assigned
DURING THE L.A. COUNTY FAIR, YOU MUST ALREADY BE A MEMBER OF OR WILLING TO JOIN THE TEAMSTERS LOCAL 495 UNION TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.
Required Skills
- Able to consistently interact with a large number of guests while maintaining a professional demeanor and providing superior guest service
- Excellent communication skills
- Should have cash handling experience and ability to count back correct change
- Maintains a professional well groomed appearance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
- Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions, such as heat, rain, and cold
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays and every day of the L.A. County Fair (Aug. 31st thru Sept. 23rd)
