Job Summary
Faith Recovery is seeking an administrative assistant that typically handles administrative tasks within a treatment facility focused on substance abuse prevention, intervention, or rehabilitation. Responsibilities may include answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, planning meetings, and writing correspondence. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Experience in this field is a plus.
Responsibilities
Managing schedules and appointments for clients and staff.
Maintaining records and documentation related to patient intake, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Coordinating communication between staff, clients, and external parties.
Assisting with billing, insurance claims, and financial transactions.
Managing office supplies and equipment.
Supporting administrative tasks related to program development, events, or outreach initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and confidentiality guidelines.
Providing general clerical support such as answering phones, filing, and responding to inquiries.
Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth operations and effective client care.
Additionally, sensitivity to the issues surrounding substance abuse and a non-judgmental attitude are important qualities for administrative assistants in this field.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required, Associate’s degree or administrative training is preferred
Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar position
Familiarity with standard office equipment such as printers and fax machines
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects
