The Virtual Design and Construction Manager is responsible for leading multiple VDC teams across multiple business verticals to deliver BIM and detailing for electrical construction projects, under the direct supervision of the Group Leader - VDC. This position is also a primary point of contact for group and project managers to provide front-end evaluation and planning of upcoming projects. This position is primarily supervisory in nature, with some project-specific work on occasion. Ideal candidates have strong interpersonal skills and effect oral and written communication skills, ability to read and interpret drawings, knowledge of electrical terminology and components is necessary, proven project experience with successful fiscal control, and proven record of accepting additional responsibilities, delegating, and maintaining priorities with minimal oversight.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
• EXPERIENCE: 11 years progressive electrical detailing/construction related experience and demonstrated leadership abilities

or

• EDUCATION: Associate Degree in Electrical Technology
• EXPERIENCE: 15 years progressive electrical detailing/construction related experience and demonstrated leadership abilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assigns VDC resources across multiple teams to effectively deliver projects within a specific vertical.
• Leads and directs project detailing effort on projects brought forward by the Group Manager or Project Manager.
• Prepares proposals and cost estimates for modeling and detailing services.
• Provides guidance to ensure that construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Provides leadership and guidance to VDC staff as directed by the Group Leader of VDC.
• Plans layout of electrical construction projects.
• Confers with internal and external customers to discuss existing or potential construction projects.
• Monitors and controls project activity to meet budgets and schedules.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
