 Falcon IT is seeking a SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR to work full-time in SPRINGFIELD, VA. This position is supporting the THE NATIONAL GEOSPATIAL-INTELLIGENCE AGENCY (NGA)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a System Administrator with experience in infrastructure, Operating Systems (OS) support, and application support. Our systems are currently hosted on C2S (the Intelligence Community instantiation of Amazon b Services). A small footprint of our systems are windows virtual machines (VMs) hosted on premises on a VMWare architecture. C2S provides our compute, storage, backup, and cloud transport. The OS in use are primarily Windows, with a small footprint of Linux OS. Applications supported by our team are Microsoft SQL server, Tableau, and Cognos. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the continued maintenance of these systems, security patching, upgrades, and finally installation of new applications as required in the future life cycle of the project.

QUALIFICATIONS

DESIRED CORE SKILLS:

• Virtual Machine Administration – performance of all tasks for virtual machine maintenance for Microsoft Servers. Snapshots, backups, patching, and monitoring
• Infrastructure – Use of compute/storage/network services in virtual environment such as VMWare, Azure, or AWS
• Account Administration – assignment of user roles for Windows, Microsoft SQL, and Application access using Active Directory
• Scripting – use of scripts to automate routine tasks (PowerShell)

PREFERABLE SECONDARY SKILLS:

• Security + certification desired but not required
• Microsoft certification desired but not required
• AWS certification desired but not required
• Active Directory / Directory services experience is a plus
