Fall Construction Technology Intern
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy intern to join our team for the fall semester. This hands-on position focuses primarily on digital documentation of our construction projects through Matterport 3D scanning technology. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in construction while developing expertise in cutting-edge digital construction tools.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct Matterport 3D scans at various job sites throughout the construction process
- Assist project managers with digital documentation and progress tracking
- Upload, organize, and maintain digital scan files and project databases
- Support quality control processes through detailed site documentation
- Collaborate with field teams to coordinate scanning schedules
- Learn and apply construction industry standards for digital documentation
Required Qualifications
- Strong comfort level with technology and willingness to learn new software
- Reliable transportation to travel between job sites
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Physical ability to walk construction sites and carry equipment
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mobile devices, tablets, and cloud-based applications
- Previous internship or work experience in construction or related industry
