DEEP LEARNING AND CONTROLS INTERN
Motional is seeking a deep learning and controls intern who will be part of a team that is developing the core technology of autonomous vehicles on a daily basis. You will directly contribute to Motional's driverless future by working on to the development of motion planning algorithms, running in real-time on the autonomous vehicle. Your internship allows for a research phase as well as hands-on work on Motional's software stack
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
You will use Koopman operators to develop a high-fidelity dynamics model of an autonomous vehicle
Combine deep learning methods with Koopman models to improve model accuracy and controller performance
Evaluate prediction accuracy, controller performance, and computational speed of Koopman-based model and show promising results
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Previous work with Koopman operators
Previous work with deep learning for prediction and control
Solid python and/or C++ skills
BONUS POINTS (NOT REQUIRED)
Experience with ML-based system identification
Prior experience with source control such as Git
