    Job Description

    The Falmouth EDIC (Economic Development Industrial Corp.) a 501(c)3 organization, established by the Town of Falmouth has a career opportunity for a Part-Time Administrator. This position will have administrative and operational responsibility for achieving the organization’s mission, including office management, developing projects, implementing   business plans, and assisting with the management of commercial properties. The Administrator is responsible to maintain good relationships and solid communication with the Falmouth EDIC Board of Directors, staff and their business partners.

    Day to day activities will include but are not limited to supporting the EDIC Executive Director and the Board Members with the development and execution of projects, managing the day-to-day business of responding to emails and requests, processing AR/AP and reviewing financial reports/budgets, processing payroll, creating RFP’s, maintaining social media platform content, retaining well organized records/documentation, and consistent communication of pertinent matters to the Board. Necessary to assist with facility management of commercial properties and tenant relationships/requests. Responsible to work with the organization’s Accounting Firm and Auditors to achieve compliant and accurate financial reporting. Required to schedule and organize the EDIC board meetings providing the Board Members with all necessary documentation to conduct the meeting, maintaining the meeting minutes per Open Meeting Law.

    Qualifications required include a Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in public or business administration or a similar discipline.  Solid business management, MS Office, interpersonal and communication skills, social media talent and the ability to work independently and multi-task are critical competencies in this role.  Experience working within a Non-Profit organization, proficiency with grant researching and application processes and experience with property management, are all a plus.
