    Job Description

    The Outreach & Recruitment Manager (ORM) works to create a collaborative relationship with community partners and represents the Navigator and the Department of Behavioral Health (FF BHD).  The ORM will serve as liaison between FF BHD & Navigator and the community partners including participating in planning committees, organizing and bridging project specific activities. The ORS will work closely with Families First marketing team, Navigator program manager, and the clinical program manager.    

     

    This position is full time.  The position is heavily grounded in outreach, recruitment activities, community trainings and partner relations. The ORM serves as a member of a collaborative team of professionals.

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·         Learn/Maintain current knowledge of community resources, while building and sustaining community partnerships.

    ·         Organize and plan for at least (3) recruitment events per month.

    ·         Work with community members and other agents in order to promote and enhance service and program participation.

    ·         Recruit and work with families participating in the Navigator program, and FF DBH

    ·         Develop a monthly recruitment and outreach activities calendar

    ·         Assist with internal referrals (i.e. SAF, Navigator, Behavioral Health)

    ·         Meet with families in the community to explain applicable special Families First   projects.

    ·         Track and document all outreach and recruitment activities weekly.

    ·         Plan and conduct at minimum (2) enrollment activities per month.

    ·         Assist with providing community education through community groups, trainings or events; based upon expressed interest or other special project input.

    ·         Assist with assessing family’s needs who participate in any of Families First special projects.

    ·         Support the families/individuals Families First serves in understanding the needs based on residency measure results

    ·         Administer applicable program service tools at designated times.

    ·         Represent the agency/Navigator and Behavioral Health Department in a positive manner.

    ·         Facilitate the Community Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.

    ·         Help families to identify, develop and sustain support networks.

    ·         Maintain records, notes, assessments, and any other paperwork required by the agency/ Navigator and Behavioral Health Department.

    ·         Submit a monthly outreach/recruitment report to the immediate supervisor.

    ·         Provide program coverage in the absence of the manager.

    Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by department director or managers

    REQUIRES KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO:

    ·         Attend all professional development trainings as required by the agency.

    ·         Ability to participate as a positive, productive team member within the Families First department and Collaborating agencies.

    ·         Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

    ·         Ability to organize and work independently.

    ·         Ability to work flexible hours.

    ·         Ability to travel between work sites.

    ·         Ability to operate agency vehicle and transport Families First clients.

    ·         Ability to effectively communicate and partner with children, families, community agents, residents, co-workers and other entities as appropriate.

    ·         Strong writing skills including knowledge of data input

    ·         Possess the flexibility to adapt to various working styles.

    ·         Self-starter and ability to fulfill and meet program expectations.

    ·         Ability to work in a fast-pace environment.

    Meet with supervisor for monthly supervision (minimally) to reflect upon work

    OTHER DUTIES:

    ·         Facilitate community-based trainings

    ·         Attend community meetings.

    Assist with outreach through community fairs, medical facilities, industrial/corporate settings

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ·         Master’s degree in social work, education or related field preferred or bachelor’s degree with (3) years of family work experience.

    ·         Experience working with at risk populations and families in need.

    ·         Experience in Community Presentations (i.e. trauma informed perspectives, bio-pyscho social model, case coordination, etc.)

    ·         Experience working with diverse families that may have multiple stressors.

    ·         Ability to develop trusting relationships.

    ·         Ability to communicate with medical professionals, law enforcement, city officials, and other organizations.

    ·         Ability to work flexible schedule which could include evening and at least one weekend a month.

    ·         Ability to maintain professional boundaries when providing supportive services

    ·         Ability to recruit, and present the programs to applicable families, community organizations, fairs, etc.

    ·         Ability to approach families from a strengths based and family-centered perspective.

    ·         Excellent listening, case management, crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.

    Strong organizational, verbal and written skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
