    Job Description

    WHAT IS COMPLIANCE: The mission and objective of compliance is to monitor the agency’s adherence to rules, laws, regulations, policies, and requirements in the delivery of services, programs and operational support to minimize risk and ensure best practices. This includes cross departmental collaboration to ensure projects are completed on time and meet all standards.  

    INTERNSHIP PURPOSE: The purpose of the Compliance Internship is to expand the intern’s knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of Compliance and Continuous Quality Improvement in a Family Service Agency. This internship will begin in April 2021 and will continue throughout the Summer Semester ending in August 2021. The position requires a minimum of 12 hours per week for an optimal educational experience and a stipend will be provided. Lastly, this role will temporarily be remote due to the COVID-19 pandemic however, may become an in-person role as health and safety guidelines evolve.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Conduct electronic client record (ECR) data content evaluation of WT Navigator system
    • Develop a plan and manage transfer of data from WT Navigator system into new ECR/EHR
    • Assist in preparing documents, files, and systems for external reviews
    • Assist in client documentation storage
    • Assist in the development of internal audit tools for programs and operations departments
    • Assist in the development of training tracking tool
    • Assist in tasks related to health and safety, such as inspections and emergency drills
    • Contribute to the accomplishment of the Agency and Program goals and objectives through regular attendance and participation in internship, program and agency meetings and regular communication with supervisor and other staff.
    • Prepare for and attend weekly supervision meetings with internship manager.
    • Collaborate with the Compliance Manager, Senior Director of Programs, Program Managers and Director of CQI to perform internship assignments and responsibilities.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited BS, MS or PHD program.
    • Previous compliance or data systems experience or education (preferred).
    • A desire to learn and grow evaluation skills is a must. 
    • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 
    • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
    • Commitment to excellence and accuracy, with a high-level of attention to detail
