Two very warm, happy, loving and FUN Lafayette families are looking for a nanny to help care for their boys after day-care/school. The individual will alternate working with the Spraker boys on pre-determined set nights each week and then work with the Garbo boys' the alternating week nights. Our boys: - The Spraker Family: Our 4 year old and 2 year old sons attend Happy Days preschool 8:00-4:00 p.m. - The Garbo Family: Our 9 year son old is a 3rd grader at Springhill Elementary school, our 13 year-old son is a 7th grader at Stanley Middle School and our 16 year-old son is a 10th grader at Acalanes High school. We are looking for a smart, reliable, child-loving, care-taker who can: - provide safe and reliable transportation home from preschool and to after school activities (baseball, soccer). Individual must have their own transportation and clean driving record. - provide after daycare/school snack and oversee homework (providing help as necessary with 3rd and 7th grade Garbo boys). - keep the house tidy, do a load of laundry, help make school lunches for the next day or assist with meal prep for dinner. - take the boys to the park, on a walk, to the library or another fun non-screen activity, time permitting. Time commitment would be from 3:30-5:30/6:00 four days a week (Mondays - Thursdays). Individual will alternate working with the Spraker family and the Garbo family each night working with only one family's boys at a time. Ideally, we're seeking an energetic, positive and self-starter college student. Requirements: - At least 2-3 years' experience working with children (nanny, tutor, teacher, etc.); references required; - Have a reliable car, able to drive two children at a time (Soph in high school drives himself to and from places); - Valid California drivers' license, insurance and good driving record; - Strong communicator - inform mom and dad how the kids' days were, what's new, concerns, the good stuff, etc. - Non-smoker.
