DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
FAMILIESFIRST NETWORK OF LAKEVIEW (FFN) represents a partnership with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to provide an array of foster care and related services in coordination with network partners. The network includes DCF, Lakeview Center (as the lead agency), judiciary, sub-contracted service providers, foster parents, the Circuit 1 Community Alliance, agency stakeholders, and the community working together to implement the legislative mandate for community-based care. Services include: case management for out-of-home and in-home placements; foster home recruitment, training, recommendation for licensure, and support; adoption support; an independent living program; dependency court resource facilitation; sub-contract management; and other services related to abused and neglected children and their families.
OVERVIEW:
This is a highly responsible mid - management position, which manages the work of counselors within the child protection system. This position requires a working knowledge of state and federal laws, administrative rules and regulations pertaining to the mission of child protective services, Department of Children and Families Operational Procedures and Lakeview Operational Procedures. The incumbent will supervise case managers' work with children and their families; work closely and act as a liaison with, The Department of Children and Families Child Protection Investigations, Children's Legal Services, courts and community providers. The Team Supervisor will be an expert in the program area assigned, use systematic planning, tracking and problem solving processes, manage conflict resolution, develop community relations and promote the professional development of employees.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and effectively communicate with clients and co-workers. Employee may be required to sit for long periods of time. The position will require travel. Vision requirements include close and distance vision. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as position requires lifting children in and out of a vehicle.
