    Looking for a unique individual to be a friend, a playmate, a mentor and a caregiver to my 26 year old special needs son on the weekends. The job is noon to 5 PM on Saturday and 9 AM to 5 PM on Sunday at his home. Help in the bathroom and getting dressed is required. He is intellectually and emotional about 10 years old, is blind and has cerebral palsy. In spite of his handicaps he is a very active guy and is happy when he is playing an active game that gives him sensory feedback. The perfect candidate would have a positive attitude, enjoy playing and hanging out with kids, is calm and patient under stress (he can have behaviors), is imaginative (most activities have to be modified), has a car with insurance and good driving record. Some driving may be required. Experience at a Boys and Girls Cub, after school program or a Summer Day program would be beneficial. It would be helpful for my son and provide experience for you if you are studying child development, psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis or plan on working in special education.
