We are looking for a sitter for our 8-year-old twins starting September 4th for the next year. Hours: Monday through Friday 2:30pm-6:00pm. We can be flexible around these hours given advance notice. Salary: $20+ (Negotiable: we are looking for the right person who will be a partner not just a sitter). Description: You will be responsible for picking the kids up from school on the upper east side after dismissal. Some days the kids have afterschool activities you'll need to take them to. You will help the kids with their daily school work and get dinner ready for them. You will make play dates for the kids with other parents and caregivers. What's important to us: We can trust you to keep our kids safe Our kids adore you because you genuinely enjoy being with them You can establish and maintain a relationship of respect and rules with the kids without them hating you You help the kids do their 3rd grade level homework (basic, reading, writing, math) When they are with you - there are no electronics by them, and you only use your phone for emergency or to communicate with us. You help schedule play dates and other activities When you leave the house - its not a total mess from the activities with the kids (you have them clean up)
