    An active family based in West Los Angeles is seeking a part-time (approximately 30-35 hours per week) Monday-Friday afternoon to evening roughly 1:30pm to 7:30 pm Household/Family Assistant to support daily household operations, meal prep, and occasional teen supervision. This role is ideal for someone organized, reliable, and confident in the kitchen who enjoys being a warmhearted and steady presence in a home setting. Responsibilities include handling errands and light admin tasks, assisting with organization projects, pet care for a small dog, and occasionally caring for the family’s teenage son. Additionally, preparing simple dinners roughly four evenings per week by following simple recipes provided by the family. Groceries are delivered/provided, and no culinary experience is necessary, just a willingness to help and put together a recipe.

    The teen is largely independent but may include school or activity pickups 2–3 times per week and overnight stays when parents are traveling. This candidate should be energetic and have a natural rapport with adolescent children. Strong time management, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills are key. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to this part-time role for a minimum of two years, brings good energy to the household, and is comfortable jumping in wherever needed.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Prepare and cook simple dinners 4–5 evenings per week, following provided or researched recipes
    • Clean up after meals and help maintain kitchen tidiness
    • Run errands (e.g., groceries, dry cleaning, returns) and complete occasional research (e.g., service providers, travel logistics)
    • Support light household admin tasks, such as organizing supplies and submitting school or camp forms
    • Drive the family’s teenage son to and from school, practices, or events 2–3 days per week
    • Occasionally stay overnight to supervise the teen when parents are away
    • Walk and care for the family’s small dog as needed
    • Assist with light organizing projects throughout the home
    • Provide general support to ensure the household runs smoothly
    • Additional mentor/childcare provider duties and tasks as requested

    Requirements:

    • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent references required from both current (if possible) and previous employers
    • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred or willingness to complete certification
    • 4-year degree from an accredited College or University PREFERRED
    • Ability to work collaboratively as a team, as well as individually as a self-starter
    • Poised and professional; always use of utmost discretion and confidentiality
    • Confident swimmer
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
    • Comfortable driving a teen to and from school or extracurriculars 2–3 times per week
    • Confident, capable home cook — no professional experience required, but must be comfortable following recipes and preparing meals
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to take initiative
    • Tech-savvy and comfortable assisting with online research, simple inventory tracking, and digital forms
    • Comfortable walking and caring for a small dog
    • Willingness to stay overnight with the teen when parents travel (advance notice provided)
    • COVID-19 vaccinated
    • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

    Compensation: $30-$40/hour; Dependent On Experience, References, and results of a Federal Background Check
