    Position Overview

    A private family based in Hilton Head Island, SC is seeking a highly organized, discreet, and proactive Family Assistant / House Manager to manage day-to-day household operations and provide comprehensive personal and administrative support. This hybrid role combines in-home responsibilities with remote administrative duties and occasional domestic travel. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in both structured and dynamic environments.

    Key Details

    • Schedule:

      • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

      • Occasional evenings and weekends required based on family needs

    • Travel Requirements:

      • Domestic travel only — up to 70 days/year (not guaranteed or expected to reach the maximum)

      • Trip durations typically range from 2–7 days

      • May involve both weekdays and weekends

      • Accommodations provided (typically a hotel); this remains a live-out role during travel

    • Work Environment:

      • Primarily remote, with ~20% in-person/on-site time in Hilton Head Island and during travel

    • Compensation & Benefits:

      • Salary range: $70,000–$100,000 annually, based on experience

      • May include health insurance and paid time off

    Responsibilities

    Household Management

    • Oversee household operations, including repairs, maintenance, and vendor coordination

    • Manage third-party household staff (cleaners, landscapers, etc.)

    • Track and manage household budget and expenses

    • Maintain inventory and handle grocery/supply restocking

    • Renew subscriptions, memberships, and services

    Family & Personal Support

    • Manage family calendars and coordinate appointments and activities

    • Arrange travel: flights, accommodations, transportation, and itineraries

    • Provide or arrange local transportation

    • Run errands (e.g., shopping, dry cleaning, returns)

    • Plan and support family events, holidays, and gatherings

    • Coordinate and remind of birthdays, anniversaries, and key occasions

    • Support personal projects and manage one-off requests

    Administrative Support

    • Manage emails, calls, and documents with discretion

    • Maintain household records and renewals (e.g., insurance, licenses, legal documents)

    • Research and liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers

    • Track and reconcile personal and household expenses
