Responsibilities: • Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, visitation rights, spousal support, and adoption cases. • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on evolving laws and regulations. • Draft clear, persuasive legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court briefs with precision and professionalism. • Represent clients confidently in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings to achieve favorable outcomes. • Draft various legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and settlement agreements. Qualifications: • Ability to use Microsoft Office is required • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required • Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years • Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Must be licensed to practice law in Tennessee to be considered for this position. • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Tennessee Bar. • 5+ years of experience in family law, specifically in TN, is required and cannot be negotiated. • Proficiency in accurately tracking billable hours. • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. • Willingness to network and grow your contacts and referral sources. • Genuine interest in Family Law and a strong commitment to client advocacy. Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 yearly
