    Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now! Responsibilities: • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed • Work closely with support staff and senior attorney to ensure thorough and diligent representation • Confidently handle all aspects of the case, including motions, financial disclosures, discovery, use of experts, preparation of witnesses, drafting relevant documents, preparing and attending trials and hearings Qualifications: • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required • Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background • J.D. in Colorado required (in good standing) • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and heightened emotional situations • Experience handling a complex caseload with multiple clients • Demonstrated experience litigating in court Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000+ yearly
