    Our law group is growing, and we are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent clients in all areas of family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations, such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues, such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. If you are passionate about helping people navigate some of the most difficult challenges they may face in their lives, start your application today Responsibilities: • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases Top 5 Responsibilities: Own Case Strategy and Legal Judgment • Independently determine case strategy and next steps without routine owner involvement. Produce Filing-Ready Legal Work • Draft motions, pleadings, agreements, and correspondence that are accurate, compliant, and ready to file. Handle Court Appearances Independently • Appear in court, argue motions, and represent clients without supervision. Manage Clients and Cases Proactively • Keep cases moving forward and clients informed, oriented, and prepared. Move Files Through the System • Work effectively with paralegals and staff so cases do not stall internally. Qualifications: • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000 yearly
