Responsibilities: • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed Qualifications: • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required • Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants • At least 2+ years of family law litigation experience • Member of the FLORIDA BAR • Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Must be able to handle a heavy caseload with little supervision • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations Compensation: $80,000 - $125,000+ DOE
