Job Description: We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our small, but mighty team! You will serve as a liaison between the member and the credit union by providing exceptional member service when giving account information by phone or in person, as well as information on the full range of credit union products and services. Provide a variety of member service functions involving the receipt and disbursing of funds. Requires an ability to communicate with potential and current members in order to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner by exemplifying the credit union's mission statement. Solve member problems following procedure and policy guidelines. Demonstrates an unsurpassed commitment to exceptional member service that ensures a Raving Fans experience with each encounter. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Greet and welcome members to the credit union by exceeding all member service standards by going above and beyond. Always striving to provide a unique member experience and exemplifying the credit union's mission statement. - Ability to provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions to members accounts, including night depository, mail transactions, over the phone, email and all other transactional requests received from the member. - Required to learn the credit union's policies and procedures. - Open and close individual Teller Box, verifying cash received and disbursed. - Accurately balance cash drawer along with a Teller Cash Recycler on a daily basis. - Promote credit union products and services based for member's needs. - May Serve as vault teller for the credit union, which includes maintaining proper availability of daily cash on hand, placing the vault cash and currency, verifying the cash received, filling teller cash orders, and ensuring full vault security. Knowledge and Experience: - Knowledge of teller policies, guidelines and regulations, interest rates and how they are computed, and required documentation. - Knowledge of credit union products. - Knowledge and ability to use intermediate math (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.). - Skilled in Microsoft Office applications. - Ability to attend appropriate local/regional educational seminars. - Ability to operate a variety of office equipment. - Ability to be a professional with well-developed communication skills necessary for interaction with the sales team. Formal Education & Certification: - High School diploma or equivalent - Relevant Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Two years of related experience. Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Work may require standing and walking for up to 50% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable lighting, temperature is adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Physical Requirements: - Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. - Must have good vision and be able to hear well enough to communicate with others. - Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle computer components.
