Job Description
Very busy boutique law firm looking for a full time assistant for our firm. Must have 1-3 years minimum as an administrative or legal assistant. Must be highly organized and motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be dependable, reliable, organized, team player, considerate, self-motivated, and proactive. Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Will need to be proficient with Word and Excel.
Applicant Must be FULLY bilingual-fluent in Spanish and be able to read and write in Spanish.
Some legal experience required. Some office related experience required. Pay based on experience.
- Keeping cases organized by putting together and organizing physical files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorneys.
- Assisting with invoicing.
- Assisting with some discovery and trial/hearing preparation
- Preparing Documents for Review
- General Client Communication in person, and via phone and email
- Attention to details and deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience in scheduling and planning time to meet court calendars and litigation deadlines.
