Responsibilities: • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence • Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects • Lead complex family law cases from inception to resolution, ensuring the best outcomes for clients. • Collaborate closely with our team to develop strategic case plans that align with our firm's values and client goals. • Represent clients in court with confidence and professionalism, advocating effectively on their behalf. • Maintain open and empathetic communication with clients, providing clear updates and managing expectations. • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and decision-making. • Draft, review, and revise legal documents with precision and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with legal standards and firm policies. • Collaborate with leadership to improve the firm's process and uphold C.H.A.N.G.E. values (Courageousness, Honesty, Ambition, Navigation, Growth, Empowerment). Qualifications: • Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary • Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision • Experience in handling complex family law cases from start to finish, ensuring the best outcomes for clients. • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team to develop strategic case plans that align with firm values. • Confidence and professionalism in representing clients in court, advocating effectively on their behalf. • Strong communication skills to maintain open and empathetic dialogue with clients, providing clear updates and managing expectations. • Expertise in conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and decision-making. • Precision and attention to detail in drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents, ensuring compliance with legal standards and firm policies. Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 yearly
