  • Responsibilities

    Our law firm is seeking a family law attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, and all other family law matters. Potential candidates should be detail-oriented, comfortable litigating, and able to effectively engage in verbal debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Responsibilities: • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process • Work closely with support staff and senior attorney to ensure thorough and diligent representation • Confidently handle all aspects of the case, including motions, financial disclosures, discovery, use of experts, preparation of witnesses, drafting relevant documents, preparing and attending trials and hearings Qualifications: • 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • 1-3 years of experience in representing family law clients • J.D. in Colorado required (in good standing) • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and heightened emotional situations • Experience handling a complex caseload with multiple clients • Demonstrated experience litigating in court Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000+ yearly
