Our law firm is seeking a family law attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, and all other family law matters. Responsibilities: • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process • Work closely with support staff and senior attorney to ensure thorough and diligent representation • Confidently handle all aspects of the case, including motions, financial disclosures, discovery, use of experts, preparation of witnesses, drafting relevant documents, preparing and attending trials and hearings Qualifications: • 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • 1-3 years of experience in representing family law clients • J.D. in Colorado required (in good standing) • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and heightened emotional situations • Experience handling a complex caseload with multiple clients • Demonstrated experience litigating in court Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000+ yearly
